About Community Gardens of Henry County, Inc

  At CGHC...we are cultivating life!

Established in 2003, Community Gardens of Henry County (CGHC) is a non-profit, volunteer organization established to serve the residents of Henry County by promoting a better sense of community through gardening, providing educational resources and opportunities for gardeners, serving as a vital food source for our community's needy families and senior citizens, preserving gardening skills for future generations and being good stewards of the environment and green space.

There are six main community gardens located throughout the county developed and operated by community volunteers that represent local churches, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Master Gardeners, and other gardening enthusiasts.

CGHC sponsors occasional work parties, gardening classes, and special events for the benefit and enjoyment of the community

Our program proudly harvests hundreds of pounds of produce each year including corn, tomatoes, onions, peppers, squash, zucchini, melons, and beans.
