Our 10,000 square foot plant-a-row garden is located at the Cubihatcha Water Reservoir and Outdoor Center in Locust Grove, Georgia.

Its harvest is grown solely to help the needy in Henry County.

Since our beginning in 2005, our donations of thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables to our local food pantry and shelters have been instrumental in meeting the needs of many of our residents, In 2009, our donations included 1,200 lbs of tomatoes, approximately 1,100 lbs of corn and hundreds of pounds of sweet potatoes.

More than 3,000 pounds of fresh produce was grown and donated in 2008 to the local food pantry and other non-profit organizations. Luckily, our winter garden harvest promises to increase our contributions even more.

The garden is generously tended by local volunteers and Master Gardeners.

The Cubihatcha Outdoor Center was created to improve and protect existing wildlife habitats, while also providing an avenue for public education and enjoyment. The center has 10 miles of nature trails nestled between reservoirs and showcases typical piedmont features. The enhancement corridor is home to many diverse types of native plants and animals.
